Version 3.0 - Story Page Layout
December 12, 2013

Whereas originally, all stories were displayed on a page with a 3 column layout, where the left column was reserved for any download files associated with the story and the right column reserved for club sponsors, we've updated the dynamic to have the layout support the available content. Now, if your story does not have any download files or links associated with it, the page layout will automatically adjust to a 2 column layout.

Version 3.0 - Customizing Titles with HTML

We received a lot of requests to be able to customize the titles of Stories, Photo Albums and Site Pages using HTML tags. This release provides customers with the ability to edit the titles of these pages by adding HTML tags in the title field. As well, Site Pages now support special characters in the title names.

Version 3.0 Bulletin - Recipient List
December 12, 2013

Customers now have the ability to select specific members from the list of bulletin recipients to send the bulletin to, opposed to selecting a group. The option to send to various groups still exists, however, now upon landing on the 'Send Bulletin Page', you will see an 'expand list' link next to each group. Clicking on it will open a window which will display all the members within that group. Furthmore, you have the option to search for a particular member to send the bulletin to, as well.

Version 3.0 - Photo Albums
November 28, 2013

A popular request, you now have the ability to set the speed and timing of the transitions of your photo album slideshows. Now available are seven transitions effects to choose from and options to customize interval and transition time. Customization settings can be accessed by clicking on the Edit Properties link.

Events 2.0 and MyEventRunner - Modifying Registrations

In addition to the confirmation email that the registrant receives which includes the link to modify their event registrations, members can now also access their event registrations in order to modify or review their registrations from the following sections, when logged into their account:

  1. My Committments link found on the Admin Page
  2. The Commitments tab, found in the Edit My Profile section
  3. Member Commitments found in the Club Bulletin
 

Dues and Billing Module: Hide Invoices

Treasurers can now select the option to hide invoices from the previous Rotary year to declutter and start with a clean screen every year.

Member Designation Reports - Fields for Export

Due to popular demand, the member designation descriptions have now been added as a field that is exported to your excel report, when you generate the Member Designation report.

Grants Module: Financial Summary Report

We've updated this report to display transactions not associated with any projects as well. These can be transactions associated with bank deposits, administrative tasks, etc.). You will now be able to access such information from the section labeled General Transactions.

Grants Module: Activity Log Tab

In addition to the the application status change, the activity log will now also log and display transactions associated with the project.

Grants Module: Individual Project Report Tab

Clicking on this tab will direct you to a report that will include the general description of the project, a summary of the work carried out by the club members and an overall evaluation of the project. Here, you will also see a customizable financial report that will provide you with the ability to add and modify all sources of income and expense items associated with the project.

Website Designer 3.0: Hide/Display Club Logo

You now have the ability to hide/show the club logo from the Club Information Widget both your website and bulletin by going into the Properties screen of the widget.

Website Designer 3.0: Hide/Display Read More Link

You now have the ability to select whether you want to display the "read more" link on your home page by going into the Properties screen of the Stories widget or the Page Stories widget.

eDirectory Reports 2.0: New Report Template

A popular request, you will now have the ability to generate a single column report from the eDirectory Reports module. The report template called "All Members (one column, with photos)" will allow you to generate a simple single column report with your members contact information and profile picture.

MyEventRunner: Promo Codes
November 14, 2013

If the event chair has not activated or included promo code redemption for the events, the registrant will no longer see the field to add a promo code during the registration payment stage.

MyEventRunner: Name Tag Filters
November 14, 2013

To further streamline registration and tracking processes, filters have now been added to the Prepare Name Tags report to display attendees based on their package or add-on selection. Now when you generate the name tag report, if a registrant meets the criteria set by the filter, his or her name will be included in the report. For the color-coded badge report, if an attendee does have more than one add-on purchased, their name tag will display all the add-ons in the report.

MyEventRunner - Color Coded Name Tags

To make it easier to identify paid attendees based on their purchased packages/add-ons, you can now assign color codes to their name tags. Once all your packages and add-ons have been created, you can assign color codes from the "Prepare Name Tags" screen by clicking on the "Assign Color Codes" link and then choosing the package or add-on you want to select a color for. Once completed, simply go back to the "Prepare Name Tags" screen and from the drop down menu, select "Badge (with Color Codes)" from the Select Tag Type field. Click on generate to view your new color coded name tags!

Version 3.0 Bulletin - 'Bulletin From' Name Change

Previously, bulletins sent using Version 3.0 displayed the name of the member who sent the bulletin in the "From" field for both the Club and District versions. Now, instead of the "From" field displaying the name of the individual, it will now display the name of the Club or District.

Version 3.0 Bulletin - Stories Widget

You now have the ability to select whether you want to display the "read more" link, story brief, thumbnail image and even story content on your bulletin by going into the Properties screen of the Bulletin widget.

Version 3.0: Website Designer - Sponsor Widgets

We've now added an option to display or hide the link to the sponsorship guide on the sponsorship widget. If you do not wish to display the link to your Sponsorship guide under the ads, simply uncheck the "Show link to sponsorship guide" option in the Properties screen of the Sponsor widget.

Version 3.0 - Birthdays and Anniversaries Widget

Your now have the option to exclude Birthday and Anniversary details for honorary members from this widget. By unselecting the Honorary Members option, this widget will not display the Birthdays & Anniversary dates of honorary members on the homepage. Should you wish to include honorary members, simply check off the "Include Honorary Members" option from the Properties screen of this widget.

Version 3.0- Meta Tags

Just like in Version 2.0, you will now see a Meta Tags option under Settings in Version 3.0. Here, you will be able to add keywords and descriptions to improve your search results in Google and other search engines.

Version 3.0: Display Options for Stories

Clicking on the display options for a story from the Story Library, will now show you a list of areas on the website and bulletin where your story currently is displayed as well as where it could be appear. You can select where you want the story to appear from this page.

Version 3.0 Custom Page - Story Widget

You now are able to select whether you wish to hide or display your story brief and thumbnail for all of your Page Stories. To do so, simply click on the Properties icon on the Page Stories widget. Here, you will see checkboxes next to 'Show Image' and 'Show Brief'. By unchecking these options, you are choosing to not display these

Grants Module: Financial Summary Report

The Financial Summary report now displays separate columns for both Grant Projects and Grant Budgets to be able to differentiate and get a better understanding of both totals.

Grants Module: Numeric Labels

You will now notice the addition of numeric labels in several areas within the Grants module, specifically within the Dashboard Pie Charts, Financial Summary and Cash Flow reports. Hovering over each label will display the definition of that heading or term.

Bulletin 3.0 - My Commitments

Clubs and Districts using the Bulletin 3.0 feature will notice that under the My Commitments section, registrations to club events from Events 2.0 and MyEventRunner will both be displayed.

MyEventRunner - Beanstream Reference Number

For our customers in Canada that have Beanstream enabled on their account, you will now see a Beanstream Reference Number on your registration reports in order to better track registrations and payments.

Version 3.0 Website Designer - Display Resolution

We've implemented changes within our system to improve the website navigation experience for users with low screen resolutions (800x600). This means that the content on the website will not get truncated and based on the screen resolution, if need be, scrollbars will automatically appear in order to navigate and view all content.

Version 3.0 - Website and Bulletin Designer - New Templates

In addition to the numerous templates/layouts to choose from, you now have two more layouts to choose from! For both the website and bulletin, you can select this new template to give your site and newsletter a fresh new design.

MyEventRunner - Promo Codes

The basic and full registration reports now also extracts all the promo codes used during the event. When you export a registration report to excel, you will see a new column and will be able to track which guest used promo codes and which promo code was used.
 
Rule of 85 - New Logic

We have updated this report whereby we have removed the minimum age limit, which previously was set to 65. Provided members have both thier birth date and join date populated in their profile, this report will qualify members if the sum of their years of service and age equates to 85 or more.

Version 3.0 - Bulletin Images

As all email clients (i.e.: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Hotmail) read and render emails differently, sometimes images don't display the same as they would if the bulletin was being viewed online. We have now made improvements to our bulletin module, such that all the images displayed in the bulletins will display as they should in email clients.

Version 3.0 - Birthday & Anniversary Widget

An extremely popular request, you are now able to add a Birthday & Anniversary widget to your homepage and bulletin. The Birthday & Anniversary widget pulls the information from the member profile and displays the month and day as well as the member's name. You have the option to display birthdays and anniversaries for the current month, two months or three months at a time.

Version 3.0 - Presidents Message Widget

You now have the ability to add a Presidents Message widget to your homepage. Found under the Essentials tab, you can now update a message and post it anywhere on your home page or bulletin.

Website Designer 3.0 - New Themes

Version 3.0 - Google Analytics

Previously, in order to track and monitor the traffic to your website, you had to submit your Google Analytics code to us in order for us to install it on your site. Clubs using Version 3.0 can now apply their Google Analytics to their site directly from the Admin Page. Website Adminstrators will now be able to add a Google Analytics code to their site by clicking on the Google Analytics link on the Admin Page (found in the For Administrators section).

Version 3.0 - Restore Default Buttons

You will now notice "Restore to Default" buttons located on all the property screens for all widgets giving you the ability to restore all the changes you made to the colours or titles back to their default value.
  
eBulletin 3.0 - Archive Bulletins

Clubs using Version 3.0 are able to archive their club bulletins as a means of saving them. You will see an option to archive your club bulletin when you are in the 'Edit Bulletins' screen. Once you archive a bullletin, you are unable to edit or send the bulletin however are still able to view it as well as display it on your website.

eBulletin 3.0 - Customize Bulletin Greetings

We've added the ability to customize the bulletin greetings that appear on your bulletin. Complete with mail merge tags, you can create several versions of your greetings and can choose which one you want to incorporate into your bulletin. Select from a variety of mail merge tags including the recipients first name, last name, club name, who they were referred by (if they are listed as a friend of the club), as well as the sender's name, club name, etc.

eBulletin 3.0 - New Template

You asked for it and we delivered! Now available is a "Mixed" template which allows you to create your bulletin without the need to limit your articles in one or two vertical columns only. Give your bulletin a different look by easily categorizing information into various blocks and create a different looking bulletin easily.

District Version 3.0 - Confirmation Pop-up (Emails)

Now, when you send an email from the District Version of ClubRunner, a confirmation message will appear with the recipient count, such that you can confirm how many people the email will be sent to.

Search e-Directory - District Version

Previously, when you searched for a member using the e-Directory, you were required to put in some criteria, now you can search without any criteria. Simply select the club name from the drop down list, and you will be able to pull up the information you require.
 
Version 3.0 - Upload Club/District Logo

Clubs and districts can now build a logo library and change their club logo using an image from their Image Library. Prior to this, to change the logo that appears on the Club Info widget on your homepage, you needed to upload an image from your computer. Now you have the additional option to upload images to the Image Library here and then choose the image of your choice. Logos will automatically be resized to fit the logo space.
 
Version 3.0 - Editing Banners and Footer for Bulletin

Now, it is easier to edit your bulletin banners and footer right from the editing screen. When editing the content of your bulletin, you now have the ability to edit and choose the banner and footer at the same time as well by simply clicking on that portion of the bulletin.
 
Version 3.0 - Global Custom Widget for Bulletins

Now available within the Version 3.0 bulletin module is a global custom widget. You asked us for an option to be able to display your custom widgets for all your bulletins and now you can. Using this widget, you can create a custom widget which you then have the option to use in all future editions as well.


Version 3.0 - Links Widget Titles for Bulletin

In the last release we had added the ability to hide the group name from the "Add New Link" widget for the website. We have now added that functionality to the bulletin as well, where now you will also see an option to hide the group name from appearing on your bulletin, when using the Links widget.
 
Version 3.0 - Bulletin Properties

Prior to this release, to change the bulletin properties, you needed to go to the bulletin list view and then make changes. You will now see the Properties button right in the bulletin editor screen, from where you will be able to make changes to the settings.
 
Version 3.0 - Customizing Stories on Home Page

This latest release allows customers using Version 3.0 to further customize the look and feel of their site by being able to change the font and colour of the story header, titles and the brief as they appear on the homepage. You can also now add line separators to separate the different stories from one another on your homepage and can choose your own colour, style, thickness, etc.

Version 3.0 - Dynamic Links Titles

We received a lot of requests to be able to hide the group names for the Links widget. This release gives you the ability to do just that. Now, when you add links using the Links Widget Library, you will see an option to hide the group name from appearing on your website.

 
MyEventRunner - Add-ons Quantity Limit Per Person

You can now specify an add-on purchase limit for each person, if a limit is required. To add a limit, simply enter the quantity limit, when creating an add-on, or leave the field blank, if there is no limit.


Event Planner 2.0 - Event Chair E-mail Confirmation

Prior to this release, when a member registered for an event, the event chair received the same confirmation email that the member received regarding attending the event. Post this release, the email to the event chair has been updated. When a member registers for an event, the event chair will receive an email which will state the confirmation number, first and last name of the registered member and phone number.
 
Version 3.0 - Image Resizing

Now, when you include large images in your Version 3.0 bulletin stories, news, site pages and custom widgets, the system will automatically resize your images when you publish your content. You will also be able to see the resized images in your bulletin in preview mode. 
 
New Member Email

To help you welcome your new members, you always had the ability to send an email to the member once they had been added to your member roster notifying them of the same. Post this release, you can create your own template to send to new members. You can even customize your template email with mail merge fields and also have the ability to edit the existing system generated email.

Committees - District Version

Districts can now display their Standing Committees in their Organization Chart, listing the Chairs. Clicking on the name of the Chair will allow the site visitor to contact them using a secure contact form. Clicking on the name of the Committee will display the name of the club, and the names of the committee members.

Dues and Billing - New Currency

In an effort to support our International customers, we've added the Indonesian Rupee as a currency option within the Dues and Billing module. If you find that your local currency is not on the list, please contact us at support@clubrunner.ca so we can work to include it in the module.
 
Version 3.0 - Bulletin Recipient Groups

This release includes the addition of groups. When you create bulletins, you can now categorize them by groups (i.e.: members, prospective members, etc.). You then have the option to further customize where you want the bulletin editions to be displayed. Essentially, you can now create your bulletin and customize the settings so that is for members only, or can create several editions for various recipient lists.
 
Version 3.0 - Story Editor Template

The Story editor now includes a new template for easy formatting. In addition to the numerous templates available, we've added a template for stories that require centered images. If you need to center your images, this template allows you to do just that, without the need to format the text on your own.

District Version - New Club Size Report

Districts now can generate reports to learn about the size of its clubs. Generating this report will display a list of all the clubs in your District, the number of active and honorary members, and the total number of members each club has. You also have the option to export this report to Excel.

ClubRunner Grants - Trained Members

Club Mailing Address on Account Statements

MyEventRunner - Read Only Access

Users that have been given Read Only Access within the MyEventRunner module will now also be able to view the Dashboard. Please note, that members with Read Only access are only able to view information and are not able to edit it.


EVP 2.0 - Event List Order

Whereas originally all events created within the Event Planner 2.0 were listed in order of descending order (future dates to current), the logic for this has been revised in this release. Events are now listed in ascending order, with the most current event being displayed first. You still have the option to click on the header and sort by any field you like.


District Organization Search - Search Feature

When assigning positions in the Organization Chart, you now have the ability to search for members. Whereas initially, you selected the member from the drop down list, you will now see a new field appear under that list and will be able to search by last name or first name.

Grants Module: User Role Access

The Grants User role is now a read only role. Individuals with this access right will be able to view all the Grant information, and process status changes but will not be able to change any Grant information.

eDirectory Builder - Member Designations

Email Mail Merge: Grants Related Field

Districts using the Grants module will now be able to add grant related fields to their message template via the mail merge feature. Whereas previously, the email message template built into the Grants module allowed you to merge the account name, the recipients name, title, club name, district name, etc. and the sender's name, club name, etc., you will now see a new option titled Grants and will be able to merge fields such as grant status, club name, grant budget, grant income, etc. to populate your emails.

Grants Module: Activity Log

The activity log in the Grants module now displays entries with a type associated (i.e.: status change, manual, etc. This release also gives you the ability to add manual notes to the activity log now.
 
MyEventRunner - View Attendees Report

The view attendees report in MyEventRunner now includes a "Full Export to Excel" report that allows you to export all the information about the attendees including registration number, date, type, attendee name, address, email address, phone number, answers to any questions asked on your registration form, and all the packages/add-ons selected.

New Member Email

This latest release includes the addition of the New Member email feature. To help you welcome your new members, you now have the ability to send an email to the member once they have been added to your member roster notifying them of the same.

ClubRunner Grants: # of Trained Members

Administrators are now able to configure the number of trained members required to qualify a club to submit grants to the District. Previously hardcoded to two, it can now be changed to the a number of your choice. To do so, go to Settings in the Grants Module menu.

New Role for Assistant Governors

Now, when someone is identified as an AG in the District organization chart, they will automatically receive that role and will be able to access all pages meant to be accessible by someone in that position automatically such as AG reports.

MyEventRunner Pro - Promo Codes

A new addition to MyEventRunner, you can now add promo codes to your event registration forms. We've implemented a new feature which lets you define promotions for registrants to use in order to attract more sales. Each promo code can be set either as a percentage value (% off base price) or a dollar value ($ off base price). You can set your start and end date to define the validity period of the promo. You can also create a limit to the number of promo codes available for redemption and can track how many registrations have used the promo codes.

MyEventRunner Pro - Time Ranges

This release includes the addition of the option to disable packages in specific time ranges. This gives you the ability to add multiple milestones or packages within your registration form, where you can define the amount due and the due date and can set the date that form will expire on.

Version 3.0 - Club Meeting Information Widget Properties

Although you can edit the properties of each widget, you can further customize your club information widget in Version 3.0. You have the option to either display or remove the link to your District site, the link your latest published bulletin and the link to your venue map.
 
Version 3.0 - Custom Pages

A custom page is a standalone single page that can be linked to, from the menu or any links widget. The content and layout of custom pages can be designed just like your home page, using the Page Designer. Within this release, we've added the option to make the custom pages private so that they are viewable by members only.
 
Version 3.0 - Event Types

For clubs that have switched to Version 3.0, they will now have the option to categorize their events by event type using Event Planner 2.0. When you create an event in Event Planner, you can choose the event type from the drop down menu, which ranges from general event to official DG visit to a committee meeting, deadline, fundraiser, board meeting, etc.

iPhone App Update
April 30 2013

Available as Version 1.4 in the App store, an update for ClubRunner's mobile app was released today. Apart from optimizing this app for the latest iOS(6) and the iPhone 5, this app includes an increased timeout period on slow networks, improved error handling on network related issues and the implementation of minor bug fixes. Club Search Member e-Directory

A new edition to the Club Version, you can search for any member in the club by their first or last name, email address or classification. This feature can be found under the Membership tab. Results will display the member's name, club, classification, phone number and will also give you the option to email the member as well. Districts will find this feature under the Membership tab as 'Member Search' or on the Admin Page under the Members section.

RI Compare and Synchronize Feature for Districts

This release boasts even more improvement to the RI Integration functionality. This feature will allow you to compare your member data information as it appears on ClubRunner with what is available in RI's Member Access, giving you the option to push your member information directly from ClubRunner to Rotary International or pull your information from Member Access to populate your ClubRunner profile. Already available on the club version, this feature is now available for Districts on the District version!

Dues and Billing - Include Business Name and Mailing Address on Account Statements

If the member has the business fields populated and has specified that this is the preferred address, the invoices generated in the Dues and Billing module will display the business name and address for that member.

MyEventRunner - Remind All Balance Paid

You always had the option to remind everyone that they had a balance due however now, you can also send everyone that had registered and paid for the event, an email stating their balance is zero.

MyEventRunner - Email Notification about Failed Payment

Now, when a person pays online and the payment does not go through, the system will automatically send an email to the registrant as well as the Event Chair notifying them of the failed payment.

MyEventRunner - Dashboard Registration Totals

This release includes the addition of the option to show registration totals showing guests only. You will now be able to select the option to show you the guest registration totals from the complete total number of registrations and will be able to view a list of the guests only.

MyEventRunner - Edit Standard Questionnaire Template

It is now possible to edit the template fields that you add in the Edit Standard Questionnaire template screen. Whereas previously, all you could do was delete or disable your entry, you can now edit it by clicking on the pencil and paper icon found in the actions column.
 
MyEventRunner - Past Event Listing

Prior to this release, all events were moved to the 'Past Events Listing' on the day of the event. Now, all events remain on the Events List for 30 days after the event has ended and then are moved to 'Past Events'.
 
RI Integration - New Field Added

Post this release, the RI Integration module now supports the Club Membership Chair as an integrated officer. As soon as this position is populated, the RI Database will reflect this immediately, ensuring that this member will receive proper access as well as timely notifications regarding membership.

New Report - Login Activity
March 21 2013

 
This release includes the addition of a new report that will allow club executives to track the login activity of both active and honorary club members. This report will display the number of active and honorary members that have logged in the past month, within the last 3 months, 4-6 months, 7 to 12 months, within the last year and the number of members that have never have logged in. You can then expand your view to see the names of the club members, along with their last login date. You also have the option to select other users from the filters and can export the report to excel.

Years of Service Report - New Options to Base Report On

This release includes the addition of two new options within the Years of Service report, which you can select to base your report on namely, 'Original Date Joined' and 'Date Rejoined'. When you select Original Date Joined as your option, this report will show you the years of service for each member from when they originally joined Rotary. Selecting 'Date Rejoined' will display the years of service for each member from if and when they rejoined the club.

Event Planner 2.0 - Comments Box Added for Event Chair

Now when the Event Chair registers members and non-members for events, they will see a comments field where they can add any additional information they feel is necessary, similar to the comments field guests see when they register themselves.

Dues and Billing - Statement Last Emailed Date

Now, it's easier to track when you last emailed a statement to a member. You will now see a new field in the Account Statements screen that will display the last date you emailed the member their statement.

MyEventRunner - Quantity Left (Packages and Add-ons)

Event Chairs using MyEventRunner to plan their events can now keep track of the number of packages and add-ons left for purchase from within the Form Designer screen. If you have set a limit on the number of packages/add-ons that can be purchased, then as guests register, the Quantity Left row will automatically update to reflect the number of tickets left for purchase.

Committees Module - New Report for Members Not in Any Committee

This new report allows clubs to easily find members that are not part of any committees. Now when you click on the Committees Management link from the Admin page, you will notice a new link on the left side entitled 'Members Not in Any Committees'. Select your date filter and committee type and generate the report, which is also available for download.

Events 2.0 - Duplicate Events

The latest service update includes the addition of a popular feature request. The 'Copy Event' feature allows you to duplicate the details of an event rather than designing the event from scratch again. All details and settings except for the registrations are carried over to your new event. You then have the ability to edit the event details from the edit screen and make changes as you see fit.

You now have the ability to enable a comments field, an optional feature when setting up your events. Guests then can add their comments when either clicking on attend or decline to pass their message to the event chair.

MyEventRunner - Refined Access Roles

This release features more refined access roles for MyEventRunner. You can now define an event contact for a single event and give them access to just that event. It is also now possible to update a member's role to have "MyEventRunner Read Only" access, which can be done by going into the member profile and then clicking on the 'settings' tab. This will enable them to access any MyEventRunner event and pull reports, however they will not be allowed to make any changes to forms or registrations.

MyEventRunner Lite - Function Change

MyEventRunner Lite no longer supports free events. All events created using MyEventRunner Lite must have a positive value for either the packages or add-ons. This was not enforced for a limited time however now the system will not allow you to create such events. We do plan to roll out a new offering to purchase credits for MyEventRunner Lite usage, where events are free. Stay tuned for more information.

MyEventRunner - VISA Debit a Payment Option with Beanstream

For our customers in Canada that have Beanstream enabled on their accounts, they can now accept Visa Debit as a payment option for events they've set up with MyEventRunner.
