What's New in Nova
Welcome to ClubRunner Nova
Earlier this year, we first announced Nova - a major planned update marking the next evolution of the ClubRunner platform. From that moment, your support and enthusiasm has fueled our journey. Through all the feedback we have heard from you, collaborative webinars, and sandbox testing, we’ve been able to bring Nova to life.
We’re now excited to invite you to be one of the first to experience Nova, now available in Beta!
Enhanced Design for Seamless Navigation
Built on a more modern platform, Nova brings a fresh new look for ClubRunner, along with improved mobile device support. It is easier than ever to interact and move around the system on mobile devices.

With a modern look and a focus on usability, Nova creates a more engaging experience for all members.
Streamlined Navigation
The updated menu simplifies navigation across the platform by only displaying features and links accessible to you. No longer will users see irrelevant menu items, or inactive links.


Quick Search & Profile Access
Gain quick access to your homepage, personal profile, and the brand new global search, which easily allows you to find membership records, events, and more, making it easier than ever to pull up the information you need in seconds.
Membership Database
A key focus of Nova was simplifying the membership database to serve as a unified source for all records across the platform. All user records are now consolidated into a single database, eliminating silos between modules. This singular database also ensures that emails are entirely unique in records across the system.
One source for all records
Contacts and Prospects are now stored in the same database as membership records along with Active Member and Other Users. Move users through the entire system, start to finish, regardless of which module the record came from. Sponsors can turn into prospects, which can turn into a full membership record!
Improved Member Profile
All records now share the full membership profile, increasing your ability to collect detailed information and maintain a complete history for each individual, enhancing data accuracy and continuity. View communication history, financial records, or keep track of notes all within the profile.


Improved Club Directory
We haven’t forgotten about regular members either! They now have access to a brand new Club directory with public profile for non-staff to view and access. As before, all information displayed in the directory is based on individual member preferences. They can still fully opt out just like before, or tailor which fields they wish to display on both the club and district levels.
Simplified Membership Success
Our Prospects module has undergone a major update, making it easier to manage prospects. Based on your feedback, we've removed complex setup requirements and now support all person records within the module. This means that if you have an existing contact or user, you can seamlessly add them into the Prospect workflow without the need for re-entering data.
Communication
We’ve made big improvements to how emails are created, prepared, and sent and are excited to introduce a revamped email system - it's faster, easier and more powerful!
New Email Designer
Introducing a powerful new Email Designer that enhances both functionality and ease of use. The redesigned interface prioritizes the subject and message areas, ensuring a more streamlined email creation process.



Sender Profiles
Sender profiles allow users with the appropriate access role to send an email on behalf of others, without needing to share login credentials. Need to send an email as the Club President or Membership Chair? That's now possible!
Smart Lists
Smart Lists are the new and improved email distribution lists! Select an entire group, add individuals and exclusion lists to make sure your emails are delivered to the right audience, every time. Based on queries, smart lists can use virtually any field in the profile to create a dynamic list, such as members joined in the past year, or everyone with a certain tag. Dream up segments and target the right people for more effective communication.



Updated Editor & Image Library
Alongside the updated editor, we've also made updates to the image library that you've been asking for. You can now edit and modify images directly within ClubRunner without the need for a third party application.
Revamped Financials
Financials are one of the key improvements in Nova, bringing improved reporting and invoicing capabilities. All modules that handle payments are now integrated into Finance reports, so you no longer need to search through separate screens - everything is readily available through one page. With GL codes available on each invoice line item, reporting is more accurate than ever.
Introducing Batches - Modernized Dues and Billing
Dues and Billing has been transformed into new Batch Orders. Just like before, you can create invoices applying charges in bulk to all records in a smart list, making it more powerful than before. This now includes contacts and other users, removing the previous limitation of member-only invoicing.


New Payment Providers
We’re expanding our payment options with the addition of Stripe and PayPal as new payment providers.


Available to customers using supported currencies, these platforms come with no additional costs. You can mix and match payment providers to suit your needs—use one for donations, another for dues, and different ones for events, giving you complete flexibility.
Reports
We’ve redesigned the reports dashboard to provide improved insights into your data at a glance. With drill down options, you can dive deeper for a clearer understanding of all your club's revenue. Export transactions as much as needed, or down the road, integrate seamlessly into your accounting system.



Cloud Events
You can now set Cloud Events to allow for member only registrations and set custom pricing for members versus the public. Best of all, keep track of event participation for both members and contacts right on their profile!

Switch to Nova!
At this stage, only clubs that meet the following criteria are eligible to switch to Nova:

Your club's primary language is English.

If you process online payments, your club must use one of the following providers: Paya, Worldline, Stripe, or PayPal.

Your account currency must be supported by the payment providers listed above.

If your club uses the Dues and Billing module to charge taxes, please note that taxes are not yet supported in Nova.

Clubs using zero decimal currencies, such as Japanese Yen or Ugandan Shilling, are not eligible to switch to Nova at this time.

If your club has duplicate emails for any profile type, our team will work closely with you during the conversion process, as Nova does require unique emails.
